LUCAS 10 AWARD WINNERS: Andy Barrows & Anthony
Marvuglio
Nocella Steals Seekonk Fast
Friday
On a night that seem to
have First Time Winner written all over it, Nema Lites
most prolific winner , Anthony Nocella found himself
once again in Victory Lane.
Nocella marched his
#29 up from 10th starting position, but with just 3 laps
remaining was a distant 3rd. Rookie Seth Carlson and DJ
Moniz, who traded punches on several restarts, were
seconds away from a dominant 1-2 finish.
Before
lap 23 could be completed however, Carlson's chance of a
initial win vanished, a victim of a broken fuel fitting.
Then on the final green white checkard restart, the
potent Moniz #18 took its last gulp of methanol, leaving
the field scrambling for spots on the final laps.
When the dust, settled Nocella had notched his
second win of the young season. A determined Andy
Barrows musceled the #81 in for second while Bug
Marvuglio once again had impressive run for third. Scott
Duell, from Balston Spa,NY took a night off from his
dirt modified to steer the Seymour #9 home fourth,
followed by young Carl Medeiros grabbing a hard earned
Top 5.
The Lites are next off to Twin State
Speedway in Clairemont,NH on Saturday night June 11th
with the Nema MIDGETS.
