| Taking advantage of a
restart with seven laps left, Ben Seitz #17 clinched the championship with a victory in
the 25-lap NorthEastern Midget Association feature at Waterford. Bobby Santos #35 led for quite a bit, but was passed by his
teammate, Randy Cabral #36, for the lead. On a mid-race caution, Bobby was black flagged
for excessive smoking and was credited with an 16th place finish.
It was the third Speedbowl win this year for Seitz who went around eventual
runner-up Randy Cabral on the third restart. |
